Value of Membership
ASDA was established to represent, serve and advance the needs of dental students. As a member of ASDA, you have the power of organized dentistry at your fingertips. Membership gives you a voice and a chance to be part of a strong network of peers working toward the common goals of improving the profession of dentistry.
Organized dentistry is dentists and future practitioners joining together to further their professional interests. Thanks to organized dentistry, there are loan programs tailored specifically for dental students, avenues for resolving student grievances and unfair school policies, and opportunities to network and develop relationships with local, state, and national leaders in the dental community. Membership gives you exclusive access to these advantages as well as other benefits such as credit card programs, group insurance plans, and car rental discounts.
Membership Categories
National ASDA membership is on a calendar-year basis from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 each year. Membership is organized into four categories: predental, predoctoral, associate and international. Upon joining, predoctoral members become members of both ASDA and the ADA and are entitled to all of the privileges of both organizations.
PREDENTAL
Undergraduate or high school students interested in dentistry are eligible for predental membership. 2008 predental membership dues are $53.
