Registration

Online registration is available. Unique registration logins have been sent to delegates. Please contact Meghan Keelean at Meghan@ASDAnet.org with questions. Chapter leaders can also send in a registration form via e-mail, fax or mail to ASDA. A $25 late fee per person now applies to all registrations. Choose from two registration options. Both fees include:

  • Admission to welcome reception, House of Delegates meetings, Gold Crown Award ceremony and Saturday evening dinner dance
  • Access to 5+ hours of educational breakout sessions presented by prominent speakers in dentistry
  • Admission to exhibit fair with 80+ companies
  • Continental breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
  • Three-course dinner and entertainment on Saturday night
  • Attendee tote bag with meeting program, jump drive with supplemental materials, t-shirt, water bottle, notebook and pen

Option 1: Hotel Package — $800 (with late fee) 

  • Includes shared hotel room (arrive Wednesday, depart Sunday). Students are paired with another attendee of the same gender. Specify preference on registration form.

Option 2: Local Package — $500 (with late fee)
 

  • No hotel stay included.

The Hyatt Regency Minneapolis is located in downtown Minneapolis, with many restaurants and bars within a few blocks. Hotel amenities include StayFit athletic club with indoor pool, restaurant and bar, and complimentary Internet access in sleeping rooms. It is connected to shopping, restaurants and bars through the climate controlled skyway.

Travel

By Airplane
Attendees should arrive at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 29. District caucuses start at 4:45 p.m. and opening ceremonies are at 5:30 p.m. Attendees can leave anytime on Sunday, March 4 (the last official event is the dinner dance on Saturday night). Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport is 12 miles from the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. Airlines servicing this airport include Southwest, United, American, Continental, Delta, AirTran, U.S. Airways and Frontier. Note: Airfare discounts (between 2-5%) are available for all ASDA members flying Delta into Minneapolis. Round-trip flights must take place between the dates of Feb. 24 – March 10, 2012. This discount will be automatically applied when booking any Delta Airlines flights on www.delta.com, calling Delta meeting desk at 1-800-328-1111 or through your own travel agency. Transportation airport to hotel:

  • The Hiawatha Light Rail goes from the airport (both terminals) to downtown. Get off at Nicollet Mall and take a free bus or walk seven blocks to the hotel. Trains run about every 10 minutes during the day. $1.75 per ride or $2.25 during rush hours (6 a.m. - 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Monday - Friday).
  • Super Shuttle: make reservations online and save money with the ASDA discount ($15 one way, $26 roundtrip). See booking instructions.
  • Taxi: Approximately $45 each way

By Car
Several cities are within a day’s drive. Self parking at the hotel is $17 per day in the attached garage.

  • Omaha, Neb.: 6.25 hours
  • Lincoln, Neb.: 6.5 hours
  • Chicago, Ill.: 7.5 hours

Transportation within Minneapolis

The Light Rail goes around Minneapolis to different downtown districts and to the Mall of America. It stops seven blocks from the hotel on 5th St. A free Nicollet Mall bus picks up and drops off right outside the hotel that takes you to the Light Rail. For route information and hours, click here.
