Legislative liaisons (LLs) serve as the Legislative Grassroots Network (LGN) representative at each ASDA chapter. The LL should be interested in advocacy and the legislative process, as well as in motivating other members to get involved. LLs work under the direction of their regional legislative coordinator (RLC).
Legislative liaisons help students advocate for dental students and the profession. LL responsibilities include:
- Attendance at ASDA Annual Session and National Lobby Day
- Organizing legislative activities at your chapter — ADPAC Drives, Meet and Greets, Legislative Lunch and Learns, State Lobby Days
- Promote chapter awareness of legislative activities at the local, state and national level
- Develop relationships with local and state dental associations
- Stay informed about the issues with the Legislative Ledger and other e-newsletters from the ADA and ADEA
