Core Educational Tracks
The Summit offers breakout sessions and interactive workshops in three core topic areas.

Career Planning: Start planning ahead by focusing on your career goals. What can you do today to make sure you're ready for tomorrow? The sessions in this track will address post-grad options, how to prepare yourself for interviews and other areas to get you ready to enter the dental profession.

Leadership Fundamentals: Leadership isn't defined by the job title. It's about developing the perspective, skills and your personal style to make a lasting, meaningful impact. Sessions will focus on the key components of leading teams—public speaking, leveraging individual strengths and conflict resolution to develop your leadership skills.

Personal Development and Wellness: Personal development and wellness is critical to living a balanced and successful life. Sessions in this track will cover activities that develop your personal talents and potential, enhance quality of life and contribute to the realization of dreams and aspirations.
 
Elective Programming
To provide a well-rounded education experience, ASDA offers select breakout sessions in two additional content areas. Throughout the conference, you can attend elective programming in these categories.

Advocacy: ASDA strives to inform students about the issues impacting their profession and provide opportunities to advocate for their rights as future dentists. These sessions will inform and energize, and provide resources speaking to the issues facing the dental profession—with a focus for new dentists.

Cutting-Edge: Cutting-Edge looks into changes in the industry and dental community that impact students’ learning, development and practice. These sessions will explore advancements in technology, new clinical skills and emerging trends in the industry to prepare students for post-graduate practice and involvement in organized dentistry.
Continuing Education (CE) Credit
By attending the Summit, you can earn up to 10.5 CE credits towards an Academy of General Dentisty (AGD) Fellowship or Mastership Award. 

How to claim credit: Complete an evaluation for each session you attend, add the course completion code to your CE verification form and submit the form to ASDA by the end of the meeting. ASDA will submit CE credits earned by AGD members directly to AGD as an attendee benefit!

CE verification form will be distributed to attendees electronically prior to the meeting. AGD number is required in order for ASDA to report your credits to AGD.

  • Each breakout session and workshop is considered an individual course for CE purposes.
  • Courses will utilize lecture teaching methods.

  • CE hours available per course.
  • Registration Requirements:
    • In order to attend the Summit, you must be an active ASDA member in good standing, complete the registration process, and submit payment for the registration fee.
    • Registration deadlines, cost to attend, and refund and cancellation policies can be found on the registration details page.
