Why do you want to be a dentist? I actually didn't realize I wanted to be a dentist for a long time. I really enjoyed running dental offices in California and Mississippi. I made my way from scheduling to dental assistant to treatment planner and finally to office manager. I realized at that point that I truly love this profession, and I was seeing daily the positive impact it had on people. I felt a calling to be a bigger part of this mission, so I began my journey of applying to dental school.
What do you think is the most vital quality in a leader? Being a leader requires a lot of different qualities, but I feel truly great leaders have an extraordinary ability to bring out the best in others. A great leader gets to know the people surrounding him/her and knows their strengths. Using that person's strengths in the right format allows that person to standout, and I think that is positive for the individual and for the group they represent. Leading isn't about making yourself standout, but allowing those around you to lead and shine.
