How has ASDA helped you build your leadership skills?
Iron sharpens iron, and ASDA has allowed me to develop my leadership skills by building relationships and learning from other leaders across the nation.

What do you think is the most vital quality in a leader?
The most vital quality in a leader is having mutual respect for those around them, especially if they have a difference of opinion. Having and facilitating constructive conversations with peers from different ideologies fosters a growth environment for everyone.

Why should members get involved with ASDA leadership positions?
ASDA leadership is the number one way to make tangible impacts on the community around you during dental school. It gives the needed manpower to create service projects, advocacy events, donation drives, and much more. It also gives you the tools you need to be a leader in your own office whenever you leave school and start your career as a practicing dentist.

What future leadership roles in organized denstiry interest you and why?
Going to Annual Session this year taught me a lot about organized dentistry’s impact on the legislative level. It is the key contributor in policy reform and advocacy for our patients and our profession. Looking forward, I see myself working alongside my peers to push for positive change on the local, state, and national level. In my eyes, we as future dentists have the responsibility to raise the voices of those that may not be heard, and organized dentistry is the main avenue in which we can.
