ASDA supports serving our communities and helping those in need as an important part of becoming a future dentist. This national award recognizes members across the country who dedicate themselves to serving others through community service and dental outreach.
ASDA awards one person from each of the 13 ASDA districts a Community Builder of the Year Award. Of the 13 award winners, one member who has demonstrated significant personal dedication to community service and outreach receives the National Community Builder of the Year Award.
Guidelines and Criteria:
The 13 recipients are nominated by their district trustee. There is no application for this award. The National Community Builder of the Year is selected by ASDA’s national Council on Professional Issues based on the 13 district nominees. Only current predoctoral members are eligible for this award. Current and former national ASDA leaders are not eligible.
