Why do you want to be a dentist?
Coming from a family who was raised believing dental care is not a necessity but rather a luxury, I have understood oral healthcare is holistic healthcare. My family was in a position where we couldn’t afford dental services, however I knew we were not the first to be turned down by dental practices due to lack of insurance or other means so I strongly believe it is a privilege to serve those who may not have time, resources, or access to oral healthcare. I hope to be a dentist to improve the lives of those immigrant families like mine as I incorporate my passion for service, art, and problem solving.

What are you most excited about for dental school?
I am most excited to see myself in my dream career as I have the opportunity to work with others who share similar interests towards a lifelong commitment to the craft of dentistry.

Why do you think you’ll make a good dentist?
In the last few months, I have learned it is not what you know but rather what you show. I believe my communication skills, accountability, and most importantly compassion towards the people I serve will render me a good dentist.

What excites you most about ASDA?
I am most excited by the people and the lifelong connections that I can make with other pre-dental students and dental professionals. I have found such a diverse community that shares similar passions creating a wider network of enriched experiences.
