Why do you want to be a dentist?
I want to be a dentist because it offers a unique blend of personal connection, technical mastery, and intrapersonal connection. My personal experiences with dentists, especially oral and maxillofacial surgeons, have shown me the profound impact dental professionals can have on people’s lives. The personal relationships they build with patients, coupled with the life-changing services they provide, are deeply inspiring to me. The technical skills involved in dentistry excite me the most. I am eager to learn and master these skills, offering high-quality care to my future patients.

What are you most excited about for dental school?
I am most excited about the opportunity dental school presents to transform learned knowledge into practical applications in clinical settings. The prospect of mastering the intricate techniques and methods taught in lectures and practiced in labs, and then directly applying them to real-world scenarios, will be both thrilling and fulfilling. Each day in dental school will be a step towards turning my passion for dentistry into a tangible reality. I look forward to honing my skills through hands-on experiences, ensuring that I can provide the highest quality of care in the future. This phase of my education will not just about acquiring knowledge; it will be about shaping myself into a skilled, compassionate dentist, ready to make a positive impact in the field.

Why do you think you’ll make a good dentist?
I believe I'll make a good dentist due to my deep-rooted passion for the field, combined with a commitment to technical excellence and patient-centered care. My experiences with dentists and my transformative dental mission in Costa Rica have not only solidified my passion but also instilled a profound understanding of the diverse needs in dental healthcare. I'm driven by a desire to continuously learn and master dental techniques, and my ability to empathize with patients and communicate effectively will allow me to build trust and deliver personalized treatments. My ambition to specialize in oral and maxillofacial surgery demonstrates my dedication to achieving the highest level of expertise, equipping me to make significant contributions to the field. I am confident that these qualities, coupled with my determination to advocate for accessible dental care, will make me a compassionate and skilled dentist.
