Career Planning: The work world may seem like a long way off, but it is never too early to plan for your career goals. What can you do today to make sure you're ready for tomorrow? The sessions in this track will address post-grad options, how to prepare yourself for interviews, debt management and other areas to get you ready to enter the dental profession.
Leadership Fundamentals: Leadership isn't defined by the job title. It's about developing the perspective, skills and personal style to get results that matter. Sessions will focus on the key components of leading teams - public speaking, leveraging individual strengths, and conflict resolution to develop your leadership skills.
Personal Development and Wellness: Personal development and wellness is critical to living a balanced and successful life. Sessions in this track will cover activities that develop talents and potential, enhance quality of life and contribute to the realization of dreams and aspirations. Presenters will also offer practical advice on managing emotional, physical, occupational, intellectual and environmental health.
Advocacy: ASDA strives to inform students about the issues impacting their profession and provide opportunities to advocate for their rights as future dentists. These sessions will inform and energize and provide knowledge and resources to speak to the issues facing the dental profession and with a focus for new dentists.
Cutting-Edge: New this year, the Cutting-Edge looks into changes in the industry and dental community that have an impact on student’s learning, development and practice. These sessions will explore advancements in technology, new clinical skills and emerging trends in the industry to prepare students for post-graduate practice and involvement in organized dentistry.
