The Membership Committee provides the member voice in developing membership resources and programming that meet the needs of members, chapter leaders and chapters, including planning membership events, mentoring chapter presidents and relaying membership activities and issues to national ASDA.

The committee comprises one chair, 13 district liaisons and board liaisons.

Position Descriptions

Membership Committee Chair

Term Length: Annual Session 2027-Annual Session 2028

The Membership Committee Chair is appointed by the ASDA Board of Trustees.

The Membership Committee Chair:

  • Supervises the activities of the Membership Committee.
  • Mentors committee district liaisons.
  • Approves all committee meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Provides membership recruitment and engagement resources for chapters and districts as needed.
  • Oversees National Fever Week.

Meetings
The Membership Committee meets quarterly, with other opportunities to connect with chapter membership chairs throughout the term.

Membership Committee District Liaison

Term Length: Spring 2027-Annual Session 2028

District liaisons are appointed by their district trustee.

Membership Committee District Liaisons:

  • Mentors chapter leaders in the areas of membership recruitment, retention and engagement.
  • Provides membership recruitment and engagement resources for chapters and districts as needed.
  • Oversees National Fever Week.
Meetings
The Membership Committee meets quarterly, with other opportunities to connect with chapter membership chairs throughout the term.
